Abstract

Provides the appraisal of sustainability for the UK marine policy statement (MPS). Looks at the MPS and its alternatives and appraisals of effects upon: marine economy, other users and material assets; population and human health; air quality; climate change; coastal processes; cultural heritage; geology and substrates; landscape and seascape; marine ecology and conservation; water environment (including noise); and effective management of the marine environment.
