Comprises the first step in the production of Scotland's national marine plan, bringing together a wide range of data on the marine environment and the activities that take place in Scottish seas. Provides an assessment of whether Scotland’s seas are clean, that is, on levels of contamination, and safe, that is, whether there are hazards to marine life in the sea or to human beings using the sea.
