Abstract
To ensure safe maintenance and repair aspects are considered at the design stage. Follows the principles of the Construction (design and management) regulations 2007. Covers access for maintenance and repair, work sector guidance for below ground, the primary structure, the building envelope and building services. Examines particular work place hazards for those working near water, near live roads and footways, near railways, in confined spaces and manual handling, noise and vibration and asbestos.
