Abstract
Describes a study into underlying influences on, and control of, accidents involving transport in the construction industry. Roadworks, plants and goods delivery have been investigated. Analyses have given an insight into the underlying organisational and human factors influencing accidents, risk control measures and their potential effectiveness. A number of common influences have been identified.
