Abstract
Assesses the current statutory requirements for publicising applications for planning permission, listed building consent and conservation area consent in terms of their effectiveness and whether they provide value for money. Also evaluates the scope for standardising the current publicity requirements for the different regimes and makes recommendations as to how the statutory requirements should be changed.
