Abstract

Details procedures for planning, design and the management of steep grassed waterways. The guidance examines the issues of use of both reinforced and unreinforced grass as means to protect and stabilise earth surfaces subject to intermittent water flow. Subjects covered include composition, application, hydraulic design, geotechnical considerations, botanical considerations, detailing and specification, inspection and maintenance.
