Abstract
Volume A deals with performance requirements in general. Part 1 discusses the context within which performance requirements over time can be defined, predicted, and certified by calculation or test. Part 2 deals with conditions required within the building of which the external walls form a part. Part 3 discusses the range of forces and agents with which the external wall has to cope, including both natural forces such as wind and rain, and man-made agents such as pollution. Part 4 brings together with spatial requirements from Part 2 and the given conditions from Part 3, to produce the performance requirements for the fabric.
