Abstract
Deals with structural steelwork designed in accordance with BS 5950-1 and Eurocode 3 Part 1.1 (BS EN 1993-1.1). The National structural steelwork specification for building construction (NSSS) can be used for all types of building construction designed for static loading.
History

Supersedes Pub 203/07 National structural steelwork specification for building construction. 5th edition (BCSA, 2007). First edition: March 1989. Second edition: October 1991. Third edition: July 1994, second impression March 1998. Fourth edition: May 2002. Fifth edition: January 2007. CE Marking version: October 2010. The 5th edition and the 5th edition (CE Marking version), 52/10 ran in parallel until CE Marking of fabricated steelwork became mandatory in July 2014. From 01/07/2014 the 5th edition (CE Marking version) superseded the 5th edition.
