History

In force from 01 June 2008. Technical Handbooks 2008 - On 1 May 2007, a revised edition of the Technical Handbooks introduced significant revisions within sections 0, 1, 3, 4 and 6. The 2007 edition is now updated with corrections to sections 1, 2, 3 and 6. Other than corrections, there are no changes or additions to the 2007 standards and guidance within the 2008 edition. Superseded by 2009 version.

The Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) was disbanded on 1 April 2008 and its functions to administer the Building Standards system in Scotland were transferred back to the Scottish Government. The Building Standards Division includes Planning and Architectural Policy.
