Prepared to help UK designers familiar with BS 5950: Part 1 to appreciate the implications of Eurocode 3: Part 1.1 (EC3). Emphasises the principal differences and similarities of these two standards. Covers general principles and basis for design, material properties, serviceability limit states, design of structural elements, connection design, fabrication and erection, design assisted by testing, and fatigue.
