Abstract
Results of an investigation carried out by the Field Investigation Section of the Fire Research Station of 23 fires in non-domestic residential buildings during 1982-1984, particularly health care, residential care premises and halls of residence. Aims to place fire hazards in their true context in order to help establish life safety priorities and assess the relevance of current legislation and codes of practice in reflecting those priorities.
