Abstract
This study explores the transformation of Zodiac House, a derelict 1960s modernist complex in West Croydon, into 73 high-quality temporary homes for families at risk of homelessness. Led by Common Projects and shedkm, the project prioritised retention and reuse of the existing structure to reduce embodied carbon, saving the equivalent of 120,000 trees.
