Abstract

This SCI advisory note introduces the new Technical Report CEN/TR 1993-1-103, developed to support the second generation of Eurocode 3 standards by providing comprehensive elastic critical buckling solutions for steel members. Unlike the first generation Eurocodes, which offered limited guidance, this report compiles widely accepted formulae, tables, and figures for calculating elastic critical forces and moments across a broad range of structural scenarios.

History
