Abstract
Located in rural Warwickshire, Malvern Pool House by Klas Hyllén Architecture is a private wellness retreat designed to heighten sensory experience through the interplay of brick, timber and water. The building comprises two interlinked volumes, a primary pool house crowned by a timber diagrid roof with a 9m skylight, and a secondary structure housing relaxation spaces. A technically ambitious envelope encloses the pool without the typical inner shell, integrating services invisibly. Materials were selected for their sensory, sustainable, and performative qualities. Includes: Project data section, Project description, Specification description, Architect’s choices, Selected products. Architect: Klas Hyllén Architecture
