Abstract
This SCI Advisory Note provides guidance on deflection control in steel-concrete composite slabs, particularly when span-to-depth ratios exceed recommended limits. It explains that deflection calculations can be omitted if certain span ratios and test conditions are met, but if limits are exceeded, elastic analysis should be used.
