Architects' Journal Building Study
Abstract
Describes The Old Byre, a converted farmstead near West Cowes, Isle of Wight, set within a landscape of agricultural fields, suburban developments, and industrial sites. The low-profile, windowless grey fibre cement façade gives little indication of habitation, revealing its presence only upon entry into a courtyard space. Includes project data, architect’s view, sustainability data, engineer’s view, client’s view, and working detail. Architect: Gianni Botsford Architects.
