Abstract

Describes Sadler’s Wells East, a new dance venue in Stratford, designed by O’Donnell + Tuomey as part of Stratford Waterfront’s cultural regeneration. Commissioned to provide a flexible and welcoming space for contemporary dance, the venue includes a 550-seat theatre, six full-scale rehearsal studios, community stages, and two new dance schools—the Rose School of Choreography and Breakin' Convention hip-hop academy. Includes project data, architect’s view, client’s view, Sustainability data, theatre and acoustic consultant’s view, and working detail. Architect: O’Donnell + Tuomey.
