TM65NA: 2024 complements CIBSE publication TM65, it is not a standalone document and is not able to be applied before understanding TM65. Covers assumptions to be made when using the TM65 methodology for calculating the embodied carbon impact of building services equipment when installation is in the United States, Mexico or Canada. Provides information on additional actions. Includes Appendices A-F.

To be read in conjunction with TM65 'Embodied carbon in building services: A calculation methodology' (CIBSE, 2021). Producing TM65NA: 2024 followed steps given in the companion publication TM65LA 'Embodied carbon in building services: using the TM65 methodology outside the UK' (CIBSE, 2022). Produced in collaboration with ASHRAE. PDF amended November 2024 to remove redundant entries in Table 2.9.

Publisher History
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers received its Royal Charter in 1976. They promote careers of building services engineers by accrediting courses of study in further and higher education, and by approving work based training programmes. Their publications include technical guidance and codes which set the criteria for best practice in the profession.
