This publication discusses the ongoing revisions to all Eurocodes and their National Annexes, expected to be implemented by 2027, with SCI updates provided to assist in transitioning to the revised standards, including software and design guides. This series of updates highlights significant changes in EN 1993‐1‐1, focusing on prEN clauses 5.1(1) and 5.1(2), which reference standard materials for structural steelwork and allow for the use of non-standard steels, provided their mechanical properties, weldability, ductility, fracture toughness, and through-thickness properties are known.
