Technical Information Sheet
This Technical Information Sheet provides an overview of a study that examines the embodied carbon of a 6-storey residential building. The analysis compares two construction approaches: a light steel framing system with composite floors and a reinforced concrete frame with light steel infill walls. The study follows the embodied carbon data and methodology outlined in the 2nd Edition of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) guide, ‘How to Calculate Embodied Carbon’.
