Abstract

Useful for major works where the employer regularly procures large-scale construction work and the contractor to be appointed is experienced and able to take greater risk than would arise with other JCT contracts; where parties use their own procedures and where limited procedures only need be set out in the contract conditions; where the employer uses their own prepared requirements and provides these to the contractor; where the contractor carries out, completes the works and the design; and the employer uses a representative to exercise the powers and functions of the employer under the contract.
