Abstract
Presents best practice and recommendations for the protection against biodeterioration of wood. Details the criteria for assessing the need for protection based on use classes, likelihood and consequences of failure and natural durability of wood. Provides the specifying requirements for treatment of wood, and considers different types of preservative treatments available. Also details sampling and testing procedures.
