Describes the requirements for execution of steel structures concentrating on mechanical resistance, stability, serviceability and durability, in alignment with BS EN 1993 and BS EN 1994 series. Sections cover specifications and documentation, constituent products, preparation and assembly, welding, mechanical fastening, erection, surface treatment, geometrical tolerances and inspection and testing.
Supersedes BS EN 1090-2:2018.
