Describes who the intended audience is and sets the context for the Fire Safety (England) Regulations. Establishes which buildings the regulations apply to and explains what is considered to be a high-rise residential building. Explores who a Responsible Person is and details their duties, including the information and instructions to be displayed for residents. Also covers the additional duties for buildings over 11 meters in height, such as fire door checks in communal areas, checking flat entrance doors, wayfinding signage, secure information box, information about external wall construction, floor plans and building plans, and lifts and fire-fighting equipment. There is also a template included to provide information for fire and rescue services relating to external wall information.
