Abstract

Gives guidelines for the assessment of the durability of geosynthetics, providing the design engineer with the necessary information, defined as changes in material properties or as partial safety factors. The aim is to give confidence in the expected design life of a geosynthetic. Excludes products designed to survive for a limited time, such as erosion-control fabric based on natural fibres.
