Building Regulations 2010: Approved Documents
Supports Part L of Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations 2010, giving guidance for compliance with the Regulations for building work carried out in Wales. Deals with conservation of fuel and power for buildings other than dwellings. Covers: the calculation of the target primary energy rate and target emission rate; calculation of the building primary energy rate and building emission rate; consideration of high energy efficiency alternative systems; limiting heat gains and losses; fixed building services efficiency and controls; minimum building services efficiencies and controls; system specific guidance; pressure testing; air permeability and pressure testing; commissioning; providing information; replacement of thermal elements and limiting heat gains and losses; new elements in existing buildings, including extensions; renovation of thermal elements and limiting heat gains and losses; material change of use and change to energy status; work to existing buildings; and consequential improvements to energy performance.
