Abstract

Establishes principles and recommendations for supporting building safety within the construction industry procurement processes. Collaborative procurement practices should enable safer buildings, with reduced risk, improved value for both public and private sectors. The sections of the report are delivered to answer a series of questions relating to: the new building safety regime; the key points for implementing collaborative procurement; the supply chain improving value and reducing risks; improving commitments and involving residents; integrating design, construction and operation using the digital golden thread; enhancing the collaborative culture; embedding improved safety; achieving economic, social and environmental value; and what benefits and lessons can be learned from other industries.
