Abstract

Details a classification system for the degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment with a rated voltage not greater than 72.5 kV, against external mechanical impacts.

History

Supersedes BS EN 62262:2002. Identical to IEC 62262:2002, incorporating amendment 1:2021. Amendment 10407 dated May 1999 - indicated by a sideline. Corrigendum No.1 14044 dated 20 December 2002 - renumbers EN 50102:1995 as EN 62262:2002 and adds to the EN foreword. Amendment dated 31 October 2021 - Implementation of IEC amendment 1:2021 with CENELEC endorsement A1:2021.
