Building Regulations 2010: Approved Documents
Provides practical guidance for complying with building regulations on matters relating to materials and workmanship with examples and solutions for different building situations. Approved document B2 deals with fire safety in buildings other than dwellinghouses and covers: Sections B1 - Means of warning and escape, B2 - Internal fire spread (linings), B3 - Internal fire spread (structure), B4 - External fire spread and B5 - Access and facilities for the Fire and Rescue Service. Approved Document B (fire safety) has been published in two volumes. Volume 1 deals with dwellinghouses and Volume 2 deals with all other types of building covered by the Building Regulations.
Supersedes Fire safety - Volume 2 - Buildings other than dwellinghouses (2006 edition incorporating 2010, 2013 and 2016 amendments) (For use in Wales). This edition was published 2020, incorporating changes introduced by the 2020 amendment issued December 2020 and came into effect on 31/12/2020
