Abstract
Sets out the regulatory requirements for new permitted development rights allowing the construction of additional storeys on existing buildings as part of the government aim to increase housing supply in England. This notification highlights relevant requirements in the building regulations and the manual to the building regulations. Also refers to guidance covering disproportionate collapse, sprinkler protection and external wall construction.
