Abstract

Provides recommendations for design and construction of all types of foundations in accordance with Eurocode 7, with specific recommendations for spread and pile foundations, helical steel piles, underpinning, specific UK geological formations and UK government policy for archaeological finds.

History

Supersedes BS 8004:1986. First published as CP 2004, September 1972. First published as BS 8004, September 1986. Second (present) edition, June 2015. Came into effect 30 June 2015. BS 8004 gives non-contradictory, complementary information for use with BS EN 1997 and its National Annexes. Amendment dated 31 March 2020 - A1: see Foreword.
