The Inquiry was established by the Prime Minister to investigate the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017. Chaired by Sir Martin Moore-Bick, the terms of reference were set following public consultation. The list of issues have been separated into two phases: Phase 1 looks at the factual narrative of the events on 14/06/2017, with the hearings taking place between 21/05/2018-12/12/2018 and a final report issued October 2019. Phase 2 covers the remaining issues, with the hearings starting early 2020 and a final report to be subsequently published.
