Abstract

Overview of the European Union Water Framework Directive, a unified approach to water legislation that led to the Guidance on Water and Adaptation to Climate Change, prepared in 2009 by the UN's Economic Commission for Europe’s Task Force on Water and Climate; anticipating the effect on UK water policy and climate change adaptation.

GRaBS is Green and blue space adaptation for urban areas and eco towns project. This document was produced during the GRaBS campaign from 2009-2011 and has not been modified since; therefore caution may be needed in applying it to today's context.
