Abstract

Sets out definitions, requirements, quality index (QI) formulae and methodologies for the operation of CHPQA, which is an initiative by the Government to encourage wider practical application of Good Quality Combined Heat and Power, Community Heating and Alternative Fuel technologies.

History

Was superseded by CHPQA Standard, Issue 8, (BEIS, 2021), but Issue 7 has now been reinstated as CHPQA Standard Issue 8 easement only applied for certification in 2021 in respect of 2020 year of operation due to COVID. Supersedes CHPQA Standard. Issue 6 (BEIS, 2016). First published August 2000. Prepared by CHPQA on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Publisher History

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy resulted from a merger between the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in July 2016. It has now been replaced by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), and Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
