Notification of the changes to meet Regulation 7 of the Building Regulations 2010, along with an additional category for material change of use in Regulation 5 and relevant requirements in Regulation 6. Amendments have also been issued to the Approved Documents B, Volume 2 and 7. The changes came into force 21/12/2018 and will introduce a ban on the use of combustible materials in external walls of residential buildings over 18 metres in height. There are transitional arrangements. These changes only apply to buildings and building work in England.
