Figures are primarily taken from the 2018 edition of the Digest of UK Energy Statistics. Covers: energy in the economy, overall energy, climate change, security of supply, coal, petroleum, oil and gas production, natural gas, electricity, feed in tariffs, renewables, combined heat and power, energy efficiency, fuel poverty, prices and expenditure.

Publisher History

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy resulted from a merger between the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in July 2016. It has now been replaced by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), and Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
