Abstract

For the boots on the ground, it often feels like nothing much changes. You go to the job site, pour the concrete, lay the bricks, fit the windows, tile the roof, have a tea break, and get back to work. Then you do it all again the next day. The adoption of technologies like BIM – whilst huge steps forward – don’t really impact the day-to-day of a plasterer. However, changes in materials do. Here we explore four materials that have the potential to impact the way we do construction.
