Abstract

Provides guidance for complying with building regulations requirements for combustion appliances and fuel storage systems, in particular relating to: air supply, discharge of products of combustion, warning of release of carbon monoxide, protection of building, provision of information, protection of liquid fuel storage systems and protection against pollution.

Copyright notice: Reproduced under the terms of the Open Government Licence. Came into effect 1 October 2010 and replaces the 2002 edition (ODPM). See also: Amendments to the Approved Documents (WG, 2013). Main changes made by the 2010 amendments: This 2010 edition, incorporating the further 2010 amendments reflects the changes made as a result of the Building Regulations 2010 and Building (Approved Inspector etc.) Regulations 2010. The changes mainly reflect regulation number changes as a result of re-ordering. There have been no amendments to the substantive requirements in Schedule 1 (i.e. Parts A to P) of the Building Regulations. Please note the simplification of the definition of 'room for residential purposes' in regulation 2 of the Building Regulations 2010. Please also note that L1(c) has now become regulation 40.
