BSRIA Guide
Provides information for the selection, installation, design and efficient use of heat interface units (HIU), which form the connection between individual heating and hot water systems and communal heat networks. Looks at the different design and installation issues for direct (no hydraulic separation) and indirect (with hydraulic separation) HIUs, domestic hot water systems, heat metering and acceptance tests. Summarises the requirements of the building regulations for England, from Parts G, L and P, and recommends consulting the requirements for devolved administrations. Also explores water regulations for England and Wales, European Directives and heat network regulations.
BSRIA was founded in 1956. It is a consultancy, test and research organisation which publishes technical notes and guidance for designers and specifiers of building services.
