Abstract
Offers guidance on design, installation, commissioning, operation, use and maintenance of horizontal flexible lines, rigid rails, single point anchors and radial points fixed or supported by top fix brackets, intended to reduce the chance of falling from height during roofwork. Identifies various roles’ responsibilities, as well as roofing types, relevant legislation and standards, and typical devices and components.

Established in 1998, the Advisory Committee for Roof Safety (formerly known as Advisory Committee for Roofwork) is a body dedicated to making working on roofs safer. The committee is made up of nominees from trade associations and organisations involved in roofwork who provide the experience and advice given in their documents.
