Abstract

Provides the calculation procedure for determining wind loads and includes example calculations for a two-storey house and a residential tower. The main changes from the existing guidance on the superseded BS 6399-2 is that the Eurocode covers buildings and civil engineering works and has a more comprehensive approach to dynamic response, including vortex shredding and other aerodynamic instabilities.
