Abstract
The tests described in this document are applicable to any large element roof assembly and any accessories, which may be fitted on it, e.g. rooflights and smoke vents, and are intended to provide information about whether the particular element can support the instantaneous loads imposed by a person stumbling or falling onto it.
History
Materials standard. Supersedes ACR[M]001:2011 Test for non-fragility of profiled sheeted and large element roofing assemblies fourth edition, ACRS 2011. In collaboration with the CWCT this edition has been revised to cover non-fragile roof glazing applications, to clear up confusion within the roofing industry as to which standard to use for non fragile glass rooflights.

Established in 1998, the Advisory Committee for Roof Safety (formerly known as Advisory Committee for Roofwork) is a body dedicated to making working on roofs safer. The committee is made up of nominees from trade associations and organisations involved in roofwork who provide the experience and advice given in their documents.
