Abstract
Reports on a study highlighting the opportunities offered by Local Development Orders (LDOs), providing guidance on their creation and use for local authorities and others in Wales. The research identifies the successes and lessons learned from the experience of creating LDOs in in England, where there is a history of their use. The study also makes particular reference to LDOs used for Enterprise Zones and town centres. Informs the preparation of a new good practice guide for local authorities on the development and implementation of LDOs.
