Professional Estates Letter
Advises general dental practitioners on specific policy amendments to the guidance on decontamination in primary care dental practices that applies in Northern Ireland.
To be read in conjunction with PEL (13) 13 Addendum 1: 'Northern Ireland guidance on decontamination in primary care dental practices: interim guidance for the cleaning of dental hand pieces' (DHSSPS, 2015). Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety is now known as Department of Health (Northern Ireland). This letter (PEL (13) 13) replaces PEL (12) 23 which is now withdrawn. Professional Estates Letters (PELSs) contain Departmental policy in relation to design, construction, procurement, programme and project management, estate and facilities management, contractual matters, buildings, equipment, medical and electrical plant and medical device safety. They are designed to be used with relevant Department of Health (England) documents.
