Abstract
Comprises the results of research which set out to identify attitudes, perceptions and expectations of the Planning system among the general public of Wales. Provides evidence on people’s opinions on how existing planning system works, while providing insight into the issues that people expect the planning system to address in the future. The project identified: the level of public understanding about planning; the issues/priorities that the public consider planning should address; what decisions should be made at what level; and areas of planning that can be removed/amended to better serve the wider public interest.
