Abstract
Explains the special consent provisions for commons owned by the National Trust, which are subject to a different law to section 38 commons i.e. sections 23 and 29 of the National Trust Act 1907.

Related to the following: Commons act 2006. Section 16: notes for completing an application to deregister and exchange common land or town or village greens; and Commons act 2006. Section 38: notes for completing an application form for consent to construct works on common land (both PINSW, 2012).

The Planning Inspectorate Wales division dealt with planning appeals, national infrastructure planning applications, examinations of local plans and other planning-related and specialist casework in Wales. Its functions were taken over by the Welsh Government in October 2021 and it is now known as Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW).
