Explanatory Memorandum
Abstract
Relates to the Control of asbestos regulations 2012. SI 2012/632, which revoke and re-enact the Control of Asbestos Regulations (SI 2006/2739). The main changes relate to the requirements to notify work to the relevant enforcing authority, to carry out medical examinations and to keep a register of work. Other modifications reflect amendments made to the 2006 Regulations by other legislation.
