Abstract
Provides an overview looking at thermal and acoustic insulation, including recent and impending legislation and guidelines from manufacturers and consultants and also technology that addresses the need to reduce heat transfer with minimum insulation thicknesses. This article then goes on to look at three projects: Underhill House, Warwickshire (Seymour-Smith Architects), Greenhouse, mixed use development, Leeds (West and Machell Architects) and St George's Church, Tufnell Park, London (Paul Davis + Partners). Includes a Product Matrix section focussing on insulated render products and a costs section.
