JCT Constructing Excellence Contract (CE)

Abstract

Appropriate for the procurement of construction works and construction related services, for use throughout the supply chain (including the provision of professional services), for use where participants wish to engender collaborative and integrative working, and for use in partnering. Can be used whether or not the supplier is to design, where the works are to be carried out in sections, and for Target Cost or Lump Sum.

History

Current edition: CE 2016. Previous edition: CE 2006 (Revision 1 2009). JCT 2011 Contracts should not be used for construction contracts entered into after 1 October 2016. See also: Amendment 1 issued March 2015 (effective from 6 April 2015): JCT constructing excellence contract 2011 (SMA, 2015), which has been included as a separate document. CE 2011. JCT 2011 has now been withdrawn following the successful release of the JCT 2016 edition of contracts, 10 May 2018.
