Abstract

Details calculation methods for measuring thermal transmittance of glazing with flat and parallel surfaces. Applies to uncoated glass, coated glass and glass products which are not transparent in the far infrared.

History

Superseded by BS EN 673:2024. Supersedes BS EN 673:1998. This standard has been reinstated as EN 410 and EN 673 were originally scheduled to be produced in tandem, however EN 410 has been significantly delayed. The delay in producing EN 410 has caused major consequences, and the publication of the revised version of EN 410 is expected no later than May 2026. In the meantime, BS EN 673:2011 should be used.
